We leave Brisbane tomorrow. Honestly, I'm kind of glad things worked out the way they did while we were here. Sydney was jam packed with stuff to do and by the time we arrived in Brisbane, we were wiped out. We tried to do the tourist stuff but the heat/humidity here is worse than Sydney. Also, it's a physically smaller city with a huge boom in population, so the streets and sidewalks are perilous. We decided to stay in, watch crappy movies on the tube, do our laundry, and basically relax. We saw some of the city but didn't really get any on us. I'm strangely okay with that considering where we are off to next.
Tomorrow we catch another Jetstar flight to the Hamilton Islands. I don't know anything about what that place is like but we stay at a place called the "Hamilton Island Reef View Hotel" where we spend our one full day there on a "Fantasea Adventure Cruise".
Sounds exhausting, doesn't it? I imagine there will be snorkeling which, I must admit, I'm not exactly thrilled to participate it. Open water near a reef that's notorious for sharks? No, thank you. But Lupe is very excited and this is what I signed up for, right? A chance to test the limits of my comfortableness? Yeah, so... Here goes something.
Talk to you all soon.
